Lockers not working on 2005 Sahara Rubicon

If it was wired for lockers from the factory, it might be a wire in the bundle behind the battery. Mine had that problem in January.

One freaking wire was corroded !!

Yes they did , I have 2 other black LJs with Chrome grills, its very likely that one of them may have a Khaki grill this time next week

Got it. That is a Daystar style or in fact Daystar full replacement body lift. The stock mounts are removed and then the new lift mount goes in it's place and it is 1" taller than stock.

Hey it would be nice if you would share, I guy with 3 LJ's that just not right. Other of us can't find one.
Hard to find sometimes, and pretty pricey in the Dallas metroplex area

The 1” shouldn’t be causing issues with the linkage I wouldn't think, may have something else going on under there

Update on the lockers issue, the transfer linkage had fallen out, so it wasn't in low last time I tried it. I got it back in and installed a “spacer” on the transfer case side of the linkage so it can not slide far enough to come out now. I see the cable shifter in my very near future. After getting it into 4 Lo the lockers work as advertised , and took it out today, and the shifter works fine, it got tested many times and performed smoothly each time. I also think I will set it up so you can lock in Hi or Lo side, got stuck in some mud and could not get enough tire speed to do any good, winch got a test as well, all works well. Thanks for the advise and suggestions, all was very helpful .

Show me a lifted Jeep with stock linkage and I ‘ll show you a headache getting it in 4 lo.

The throw rod is adjustable , which can help, but these linkage works crappy stock, let alone cocked or in a bind .

The cable is sooo nice.

Mine's lifted 3.5", 1.25" BL, stock shifter with no adjustments made to it, and the transfer case shifts just as good as it did when it was stock. But that doesn't seem to be all too common.

It’s hit or miss , if the linkage throw rod is adjusted when the lift is done you stand a better chance of it working...that’s what typically gets missed .

Are the air lines even attached? Looks like it has been driven very hard.

Oops, missed the last two posts somehow.

I bought it because its a Rubicon under the Sahara stickers, and figured it deserves to play hard, but it cleans up nice though. I will likely just get a Rubicon and sell this one to someone who doesn’t want to play as hard with their toys.

It was built to be driven hard. I think it is super nice and it will drive hard for a very long time I am sure. Nice ride!
