That's fairly typical for factory mounts. The factory rears are harder to get longer travel with good bias than the front is.

wow i need to to find someone locally that has done this before. like a pro 4x4 shop.The key to understanding how to move the mounts begins with cycling the axles. You will do it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. There are several relationships between moving parts that all need to work together. You will be determining and defining them and building them.
thank yall very much for the info. its a little complex, i not afraid to do the work i just like to do it one step at a time. Looks like i really need to get my jeep up on jack stands and find out whats binding. and maybe plan to move my shock mounts.
No, not that I wouldn't if I felt comfortable doing it myself or the extra $$$ to have Blaine do it. But I'm not sure I will now at this point with not quite as much wheeling going on for me right now. yall keep pushing me to do this. ill get some 6ton jacks from somewhere and start the process. can i do it with 2 jacks doing the front then the rear of do i have to have 4 jacks to do it properlyGood luck. It should trouble you how often a pro shop screws this up. The problem is that not enough people understand good shocks on a on off-road vehicle. Most seem to build for big droop and lose sight of balance.

what do you think the mid arm was primarily designed to do Compaired to the standard short arm ?The mid arm doesn't change much, if anything, as far as shock travel is concerned.

For the front check your up and down travel and move the upper mount to give you the desired up and down travel. A good place to start is 50/50 split. Assuming you have the rancho 11” shocks in the front I would bet you would benefit from moving the mount up an inch or so

Picking up some tall 6 ton jack stands today.Start by figuring out how your shock travels are divided. From ride height, how much up and down travel is there. You will want to cycle the axle to determine this.
