New(ish) radiator leak

I got this 06 Rubicon about a year ago. Previous owner said he had just had an oversized radiator put in. I don't see a brand name on it. Not sure if some one here recognizes it. I am assuming it is a cheap no name brand and that is why it is leaking.

Couldn't get a picture, but when I look down between the radiator and fan shroud I can see it wet at the very bottom of the fins. I don't see any wetness from the upper radiator house. So, I assume it is just leaking. It leaked like a 26 inch circle in the driverway since being parked on Friday afternoon. Coolant tank is pretty low also.

This jeep is mostly used by son driving back and forth to school. So, after some reading the Koyorad A2102 seems like the one to get. Might not can tell from my pictures, but do you think the current fan shroud will fit.

Yep, now you know why so many of these aftermarket "aluminum" radiators get such a bad reputation. This isn't uncommon at all, in fact it's why so many of them have horrible reviews.

Couldn't tell you on the fan shroud, but it looks like it'll be close.

The shroud appears to be the original and typically they'll fit just about any correct radiator.

I put a Denso in mine and it's been working great. I'd bet the Koyorad would be just fine too.

The all aluminum radiators look great but most leak not long after install. Sucks but lots of people have had bad results with them.

Thanks for the help. Had to change the radaitor in my other son's 07 Colorado last summer. Guess I get to see which is easier.

Just ordered the Koyorad A2102 from Carid. It should be here Tuesday. I did notice it wasn't for the 06, but would fit the 05. Although a quick search tells me that it should fit the 06 also.

Yeah they are the same.

Got the radiator in just before it got dark. Drove it down the road and back and nothing is leaking. I will drive it around some tomorrow afternoon and check it again before I let my son take it to school though.

For the quick release transmission lines, how tight should they be? I pushed them in and they seemed to snap in place and not go in any futher. But, they do move around some. Although I didn't see any drips coming from them.

Curious as to where you live and if you have checked coolant temps with torque or any other more accurate way than the dash. I put in a denso and the jeep is still running pretty hot. Thinking it may be my issue.

I’ve taken it to the desert (Phoenix) and hot humid areas with no issue. It’s always possible Denso had a bad run of radiators (every company including Mopar has defective parts occasionally) that don’t work as well. Mine has been flawless. If it’s not working like you would like, try a different brand.
