Good morning fellow TJ'ers, I am new here and this is my first post. I'll start with I have a 97 4cyl 5spd Tj , im running 31x 10.5 patagonia MT' s and I am beginning the process of upgrading. I am looking at a lift and I have just run up on a used 6" rough country lift, first what's your guys opinion on used lifts and the 6" rough country specifically? Will it be fine to run stock driveshafts, I have read on another site that lo ger shafts are a must when you go above. 2.5-3" lift, will the stocks be ok with that high of lift? I appreciate your guys advise. Thanks,

X2 on the body lift. Suspension work is a deep hole that you might as well avoid unless you really need it. Spend the money on refreshing the stock parts and you will have a great driving Jeep that you will enjoy.

Welcome to the forum. I would suggest you start reading and researching before you buy anything. I won't tell you what to buy I feel that is a personal choice. You will be much happier to buy once than to buy multiple times because you made poor choices. We have a decent search feature here or Google works well for this site. There is also a FAQ section that has tons of info for someone starting out.

Welcome to WTJF. You DON'T want a RC lift, used lift or a 6" lift. For 31" tires, I'd go with a 2" lift or just a 1.25" body lift. Pic of a 2" lift and 31s.
p.s. @jjvw on here loves those Patagonia tires. 😇

^ what he said…and everyone below. I got mine with a RC lift from previous owner and it’s just junk. Take your time, do it right, buy quality parts. Buy once cry once.
