New Wizard / BMB tail lights?

Haven't seen it asked yet but I am assuming these will not work with a Moryde reinforcement plate without cutting? I’ll probably pick up anyway just to look at they are just that nice. Well done.

When I installed the Savvy versions, all we did is cut the end of the rectangular tube off and put the cap back in for the hinge. We don't use the reinforcement plate ever so not sure what to do there but I have seen one hacked up enough for some other tail lights that it was useless so we removed it.

I can promise you that shops by and large believe that instructions are just fancy packing material

Given the quality (read lack thereof) of many product installation instructions, this may be somewhat industry-induced, current company excluded. Inaccurate, overly simplified or flat-out bad instructions aren't much better than none at all. Having said that, given the apparent quality of these lights, I suspect your instructions will be a model for others to follow.

Sample, and best I'm going to be able to do.

I love when the pictures look like they've been photocopied 100 times and everything is blacked out and there's a little line pointing off that's supposed to be an arrow that says "do XYZ very specifically right here" and you can't even see the picture. Or "remove the part" so you take out the bolts/screws only to find out that there was also a plastic clip that you just broke because you didn't know it was there 🫤

Fantastic - although you might want to label the lights as "1A (Right)" and "1B (Left)" - otherwise some idiot will wonder why the side lights point inward... ;) I'm only partly joking...

You can't really screw that up. The reverse light has to go at the top, it won't fit in the housing the other way. If I am worried about someone trying to put the marker lights to the inside, then they will need more help than a set of instructions can fix.

Just add a caveat in the instructions. "If when complete, the side marker lights face inwards, please remove the lights and return for a full refund because you don't deserve these lights." lol

My biggest pet peeve doing instructions is what you see on the screen always prints darker so you have to keep messing up the brightness and contrast until it is so washed out that it then prints well enough to see some detail. The edit, print, check, change, print, check part drives me crazier than I already am.

That wouldn't be quite how I would say it and the refund is not a good way to do this. They can however, give me a call and I'll do my best to sort it.

I can promise you that shops by and large believe that instructions are just fancy packing material as evidenced by the vast number of calls I get from them installing brake kits.
I remember many years back when I worked for an Industrial computer company, telling my boss that "Most customers are idiots, they don't read the FINE manual." He agreed. I suggested putting a brightly colored piece of paper with "RTFM" on the top of each box.

I designed a rather complicated, "do-all" memory card. It took a 10 step procedure to configure it for whatever use the customer needed. Whenever customer service would receive a call for help with it, the customer hadn't followed the procedure - EVERY fucking time! Ditto for co-workers asking me - "Did you follow the procedure?"

So, some ingenious idiot will invert the housing and drill new holes while cussing that "this damn thing doesn't fit"...

But it's that detail and effort that sets quality products apart from others.

Haha I imagine your response would be a little different 😬

Why not provide digital download of instructions on BMB website under the product description? That way no requirement for you to print, pack, et al.
