If anyone is looking to flip the stock case get the kit from Down East Off-road. It is hands down the best option(IMHO). $700
Comes with the atlas twin stick shifters. Taps and plugs the old shifter holes to seal them up properly. They run twin shift rail detention springs, I have had no popping out of gear issues. (Knock on wood)
I was really looking into the BEHE stuff. But when I found out it was an investment type takeover I looked elsewhere to spend my cash.

It's JUST a vent. I'm pretty sure you could move it to somewhere else on the housing. So you wouldn't lose any height. And once it's clocked I think you could get pretty close to flat if not flat belly.

I moved the vent to the higher end of the cover. With it on the low end it blew some fluid out, perhaps I could have solved that issue with a little less fluid but moving the vent made a whole lot more sense. I will look for a pic on how it sets. I didn’t plan ahead for a flat belly skid. We clocked my Brother in laws as low as possible to help the front pinion stay at a decent angle. So I wound up just clocking mine the same. It could have been clocked up a bit more. The only thing I see that would need some help is the shift rod cover on the back of the case will hit the tub if used with the doubler box.

I guess it’s clocked where it should be.
Here are some basic pic with a 1” body lift. Might be able to go flat belly with a low pro mount. I decided to do with the no body lift skid which will arrive today. These pics are with the stock 97-02 skid.

I also used see through fuel filters for a mini catch can filter set up on the vent lines. Lol.

ya ya thats what i eluded to above, Midnights loaded case for 3600 is barely a few hundred over cost, and probably more than justified by the time you bother to order and wait for your own pieces.

This was my conclusion too. No reason to piece it together, just buy Midnight's loaded case. All your components are new. It's worth a few hundred more dollars.

One thing I did not notice until these pics is the cable shifter doesn’t leave a lot of room between it and the case. Looks like I really lucked out by being lazy and going with the no body lift skid. Lol.
The name is a bit tricky. It requires no BL of using the low pro mount. I will be using the stock mount and a MML. I am not interested in adding idle vibrations for a bit of clearance, at this point anyway.

Keep an eye out I picked up both of our Dana 300s for $300 each. Just be patient.

Geez, $300 seems cheap for a donor compared to what I'm finding now. Easily finding them for $749-$899. Nothing cheaper.

at this point in what i've done to this poor jeep......... cutting the floor to accommodate a flat clocking is not out of the realm of possibility. i'm just gonna have to wait and see what comes about with this 205.

i got 205's and 300's all over for 300$ and less, 231's are 100-150$...............it's the only advantage for us living in the rust belt. our bodies n frames rot away, but we got and ass load of other parts.

Man looking at your pictures you have TONS of room compared to me and my setup.

If you watch and wait you can find them for under $500. I've seen them locally for under $500 but they needed work too.

i think i may redo the floor mounts for the front seats too. they work but i want to take some lean out. i don't require the tumble, just thought it fancy to keep, the sliders would suffice.

Yep when my parent s lived in Buffalo, NY I used to love going to visit cause I could find parts for CHEAP.

This is what has kept me from trying to get more room around the t-case. I have a 2" drop skid so I don't feel too bad. To make that STaK's fit I don't know how much trimming I'd have to do.

What's the deal with the np205? I've seen some of those for cheap. Does Midnight have a TCase for the 205 or are they developing one?

i really dig the mount on that piece you put up from Riley. maybe just a bit lower instead of middle, to help fitting. but that 2 point clevite mount is proven to work and anchorin that pig at 2 points to deliver that torque is important.
