Off-Road Only AiRock & How it Works

The height sensors mount in different ways depending on which suspension you're running. I drilled & tapped these holes in the frame & then mounted the height sensors.

I made new mounts for the air springs and tried to get MAX travel out of the air springs. ORO sells a 10" travel shock with the 6" kit but I'm using 12" shocks front & rear.

I took it for it's first shakedown run last weekend.

FOr me the York mounts to the front passenger side of the engine.

When the engines installed in the Jeep it's tight.

That's awesome to see
I've sent then an email and awaiting a reply. Hopefully they still make the kit and everything needed to bolt it to a 4.0

They have the onboard air kits for your 4.0. Or you can get one from cuoffroad.com
Here's the onboard air kit: https://offroadonly.com/shop/on-board-air/york-mini-on-board-air-kit-wrangler-tj-2000-06-with-a-c/

Steve can be a little slow sometimes replying to emails. He's had issues finding good help so is running the office himself.

@Wildman will have much better info but the one Airock suspension I've seen didnt look exactly like a simple "bolt it" in solution. It looked like there was some welding and fabrication required.

The welding and fabrication needed is the outboard shock mounts in the rear & cutting the bump stop mount off on the front. Everything else is bolt in.

That'll be the least amount of cutting and welding I'll need to do 🤣

The brackets they include mount to the stock coil spring mounts. The front shocks you have to run adapters to mount them.
Which kit are you wanting to install? The 4" or 6"? Are you keeping the shortarms or going to a longarm type links?

Where have people mounted the air tanks?

With my old suspension I had the air tank mounted underneath.

Welded brackets to the frame

And it was tucked up on the drivers side.

When I went to the 4 link rear this time I moved the tank to the inside and put it behind the drivers seat.

Let me know what other questions I can answer.

I'll be going 3/4 link with a stretch.
I'm bound to have heaps of questions as time goes.
I'm thinking the 6in. Hopefully I can get a ride height of 3ish inch at ride height

Have you had any issues the time you have had it and is there anything you don't like about the system?
Do you have the swaybars too? If so what ones?

I have a Savvy midarm 3/4 link on mine. I'm running 38x13.5x17 M/T Baja Pro XS tires

All the way lowered

Raised as high as it'll go

At Off-Road height

5" of shock shaft exposed

22" at the frame and I've got a 2" drop skid plate.

Fully raised

8.5" of shock shaft exposed. So I've still got 3.5" of droop left.

I've cut two air bags so far but both times it was my fault. Having the AiRock makes fitting things harder as far as things on the axle & components underneath.

Do you have the swaybars too? If so what ones?

I had a SwayLoc on it before which is ORO's dual rate swabay and if you are going to drive it on the street it is the better choice.
I've now got Anti-Rocks front & rear. I don't have enough time driving it now to say what I think about them. But you for sure want to have swaybars.
I'm also running custom tuned Fox shocks with remote reservoirs & LSC adjusters.

Awesome. I'll check out your build when I get off the plane. Your tj looks well setup

It's 632 pages long now. Had a few set backs and had to change directions.

Just a little more info. I stretched the rear back 5" and the front 2.75". I've got a CRD60 rear axle & a Ford HP44 front axle with both a 61.5" WMS so I'm about 1" wider than stock.

I didn't think my tires would clear the air cylinder on the SwayLoc which is why I went with Anti-Rocks instead plus my rig is a 95% trail rig and I don't drive on the street much with it.
