I wouldn't bet on that lasting more than a few weeks, but as long as you're ok with reapplying it every so often it definitely improves the look of faded plastics.

A longer lasting product I've tried is the cerakote wipes.

X2 for the Cerakote wipes. PO used it on the flares and hard top. Just redid the area that he could not reach when the roof rack was on. Going to try their headlight restorer on my 04 Suburban.

I just bought a bottle of that to try on the Bushwacker flares. It did nothing. I was going to throw it away...

I like the sun faded grey with lighter grey hyena spots on my 24 year old flares.

Looks good for a bit then back to looking like crap. The only permanent fix I know of is to replace with new plastic. YMMV

x3 on the Cerakote. I went over both the TJ and the JT this spring, and they have both remained excellent thus far.

OP, I used that Meguires... it lasted about 3 weeks...

@bucky , I used the headlight system on my wife's car. The cleaning part of the process was great, the sealer not so much... maybe it was too humid out or something when I did it...

Any products that will brighten up the grey flares on an '05 LJ?? Most products seem to be for black flares so might as well paint them if that is the best restoration.

You can probably watch the first one turn back to grey before finishing the last flare.

My experience is that Flood Penetrol does little to restore plastic. Searched for a few weeks last year and couldn't find it anywhere. Ultimately dug it up in HD and bought three cans of it thinking it was the end-all. It wasn't. Amazing at reviving fiberglass (hard top) and some metal finishes, but it's a zero for faded plastic.
