Looks like it'll bend

I fixed the flat. Before breaking the bead:

Chunky bits.

Peak force to debead at 0 psi with some wood jamed in there: 1271 lb.

Cleaned up, reseated the bead, hear a hissing sound and find the valve stem is torn.

I didn't have any regular replacements, just the emergency ones that you put on from the outside. Which I didn't want to use, so I got some, broke the bead again and put in a new valve stem.

Did the bittersweet springtime ritual of swapping back to road tires. It's amazing how much quicker the jeep is! Lot smoother ride, too.

Stacking these is my version of the ardblair stones.

Went for a drive up the mountain. My old solar-powered hula girl broke, so I got a new bobble. Much better. Can see the lake below through the trees.

A while back I stuck ujoint caps on the stinger to make chocks that hold the winch line in place when I run it over the top. Had to shuffle trailers around the yard and it works a treat for that. No fussing with getting the hitch lined up. It's especially nice for moving the boat which needs a stand higher than the trailer jack goes in order for the cockpit to drain properly.

Proved handy moving this rock, too.

Ordered a new stub shaft from Revolution. They don't list them individually so had to call. $161 shipped with a new spicer joint. No bad at all. Much better than 650 for the full kit.

Any opinions on welding the caps on?
