I'm not Chris but I'm pretty sure he'll say it's "ok" but that he wishes he had gone for 5.13 instead. 5.13 is what I'd recommend for 33" tires and the 42RLE automatic transmission.

Read it closer. OD is the same but when you drop down a gear to Drive in the auto or 1-1 (direct drive) with the manual, the RPM differences really show up.

Ok. I was at this point in my Jeep build and I need to settle on a ratio. I drive from San Diego to Big Bear often and I can't stand having 33's with 3.73's. Can you run 5.13's with a Super35 kit?

4.56 would give 2725 rpms at 70 mph, 4.10 would give 2450. I personally would rather run 2700-2750 at 70 mph as I did when I ran 4.88 with 35" tires and my previous 5-speed manual. I only get approx. 2625 rpms now at 70 mph with my 5.38 gearing and 42RLE transmission and I wish I could have gone for a slightly lower ratio for a slightly higher rpm but 5.38 is as low of a ratio as I can install into my Rubicon Dana 44 axles.
So if it were me with your 6-speed and 33's, I'd go 4.56.
Will that ratio excel offroad.. or is there a better ratio for 33?
I’ll tell you if I go to 4.88, the gearing would be really low for crawling, but not much for bumping obstacles, 4.56 is great for on and off-road with the 6-speed and 33’s. But if you’re contemplating 35’s in the future, go for 4.88.
4.56 on a Dana 35 needs a dif carrier right? Isnt a Dana 35 maxed out at 3.73?
