Purchasing first time TJ (rust)

Concerns too, yep I would steer clear for that money.

Definitely not worth 8k! No way! if you could source it for 2400 or so, then you can cap the frame and enhance. But at that rate, you can get another TJ with a much better frame for less. I saw a CJ7 for sale just the other day that looked fully restored and great shape and it made me want to trade. Priced at 7,800 and decent brown stockish color with matching hard top which is a plus in the NE.
