Is there a trick to reinstalling the front pump on a 32rh transmission? When trying to push it back in it's getting hung up somewhere. I know there are multiple seals and bushings and rings that all need to line up to go together, but it'll go in til there is 1/2" left and then just stop, a gentle tap with a rubber mallet doesn't help.

Ok after a little finagling and generously lubing everything in sight with ATF it finally tapped in ok. FYI if you are removing the front pump, tighten the front band around the front clutches to keep them in place. And Mac tools slide hammer SP8P has threads on the end that work perfectly to act as a pump puller.
