Rock slider mount to frame, best practice?

And that makes sense that the stiff metal of a rock slider will protect the body from a focused point of impact and spread the force out. Will definitely go look for some frame-mounted sliders.

Still shopping for sliders for my LJ... I checked out the white-knuckle sliders (which are frame mounted). The Savvy sliders are (as seems the norm) out of stock. Does anyone have favorites for other makers? Some of the designs I've clicked through... leave a bit to be desired.

Since I can't DM yet, Wildman, I'll ask here. My brother and I have done Tillamook a ton on dirt bikes, and will definitely head back this summer since he just picked up a Wragler as well. So we're quite familiar with the OHV process. I'd love to get pointed to some good spots in WA and Central that you like, what are your recommendations?

I am going to toss this out there. Great opportunity to run Tillamook, and pick some brains of fellow jeepers for locations that suit your off road style.

Since Savvy's are not currently available, this one doesn't look bad. It's .2 steel where it mounts to the tub which is heavier than most which are commonly 3/16" and likely fairly protective. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NLP7ELE/?tag=wranglerorg-20

I looked over and over and over all the options for functional sliders that met what I wanted, there aren't many that check off majority to all of the list. I ended up landing on Genright, yes I paid a little more for them than other products but, they actually seem like they are the best available option on the market for me. I contemplated building my own set but felt I just didn't have the time to get them completed.

I ended up buying a set of ARB rock sliders for my TJ. They just got delivered yesterday.

I love my sliders - they mount to tub mounts, are full sliders, act as a step for the woman, AND HOBBITS and are very affordable.

I put these on my Oregon 97 TJ. Ran Tillamook good. We need a WTF PNW summer picnic. Someone say when and where...and the tube steps do nothing for helping you in and out of the Jeep...but they do help push you away from rocks.

I didn’t think I cared for the tubes till I found this obstacle. In the pic I still had to climb that front passenger tire which ended up just leaning the whole jeep on the tube and just missed my door. I only use the tube when getting in the back seat or I swing on it to slide under the jeep real fast.
