Rock Sliders / Rocker Guards Guide

If you feel like making the drive, I have the rotobroach set, 17/32 drill bit you’ll need, and 2 different setting tools you can break.

He's not willing to drive. I've offered up my entire shop and tool collection for his use, and the 90 minute drive is too far. Kids these days....

I haven't seen anyone mention these: Artec LJ Rocker

They don't show images, but the drawings appear to have multiple bends to address the torque boxes.

Get rid of the shitty Allen drive hardware and they are not a terrible product, surprisingly. I like that they held the lowest bend to the rear torque box height and stepped the front part up, so not terrible.

I’ve looked on their site but don’t see hardware information or installation information. Have you first hand experience or am i missing a link?

I found a set of the discontinued JCR Crusader sliders for sale near me and I was thinking about picking them up. In reading through the posts in this thread I know it’s recommended to add the additional modifications to the JCR sliders, does anyone have any pictures of the locations of the additional nutserts to add and the sizes? Also, I live in the rust belt, so what is the consensus for prepping the body under the slider? I’ve heard mixed things about adding silicone and undercoating

Just find about 8 total spots spread out along the slider that will go into the torque box without interfering with one of the holes already in the torque box.

For prep remove any rust, self-etch prime, and paint.

The rockers are currently pretty clean and rust free, the sliders I was going to sandblast and powdercoat before final install. I just didn’t know if anything should go between the mounting surface of the slider and the surface of the rocker to prevent rust or trapping moisture. We usually deal with salt on the roads from anywhere from November to around March sometimes here in Kentucky and my Jeep is my back up daily driver so I didn’t want to have to worry about rust forming from the salt
