Has anyone else dealt with the new Rust-Oleum spray can with their new nozzle?

They now have all these new features that... Someone was asking for apparently

It was hilarious to see that my local Lowe's still offered the self-etching primer and the black paint in traditional spray bottles from Rust-Oleum...

Tells me that the trades folks aren't bought in.

I can't use my old and preferred trigger style sprayer on these new stupid cans...

Frustrated that The company isn't listening to the market or is tailoring itself to the market that it thinks exists...

I was amazed to be turned on to the trigger spray tool later but earlier on in my life and I'm astounded that a spray company has killed...

I've used them quite a bit. Other than offending my reluctance to change, they actually work very well.

They still make and sell the old "O" spray nozzle cans. I haven't had a chance to try the new multi pattern setup, but in theory it will provide a lot of what I've been wanting, like a fan pattern and secondary nozzle for when I don't finish the can.

Almost doesn't matter any more. Most of the cans we use now are spray any direction so turning them upside down to clear the nozzle before you put them away no longer works.

Exactly. I take the spray nozzle off, put it on a can of carb cleaner and give it a blast, then spray a bit of more into the tube that the nozzle sits on, and then put the (usually a different) spray nozzle back onto the paint can. I haven't had a spray can get clogged up in years - but I can't do that with the new fangled ones, although they do spray nice.

Yep, and I've been having that problem. I've had to throw away 1/2 full cans recently, and most of those clogged below the nozzle.

I had issues with their bed liner spray. I REALLY liked it, but they got clogged way to quickly. Nobody at Rustoleum wanted to help me.
