Stuck with this paint color forever?

Thanks all for the replies — sounds like lots of opinions in both directions. Given the cost of the paint job, feels like I'm better off trying to find one in my preferred color and using that $$$ on other mods. If for some reason I can't find one I'll reconsider. Search isn't too picky I think — 03-06, <80k miles, manual, blue or black, Rubi, as close to stock as possible, obvious no rust, etc. If I spend six months or a year looking, I'll start to expand on colors (khaki is pretty nice as well but I really like the blue and black).

Now that is a plan, just stick with it!!!! Look down south for a clean Rubi they are still out there and worth the drive.

Not hating, but everyone I know that has done it, regretted it.
A local kid did the exterior of his H2 in a grey and it looked pretty bad.

They picked the wrong color schemes.

It usually takes me close to a year to find a good deal. I lucked into my current Rubicon when I bought it (stock). I sold my white 2000 Sahara that week for $9,000 and still had the cash on me when it popped up on a Sunday. I paid $9500 cash for it.

Permanent, like a tattoo. I've seen it peel, allow moisture and contaminants underneath and the cancer begins. I had bumpers and sliders professionally done on my XJ and there are spots showing rust, mostly at the welds. If painted or even powder coated - wire wheel and a rattle can.

What you pay for a Jeep is much more important than the color. I could care less about the color if it's a good deal. I've had white, khaki, desert sand, patriot blue, gunmetal blue. red, black, moss green.

Not in my world. There are several colors that I would not only not buy at even a smoking deal, I would not take them for free. I'm not that picky about which ones I like but I am adamant about not owning the ones I don't like.

Second from top. Top is Inca Gold. I don't do dark blue either. I don't mind the Gunmetal Blue which is about the only blue I don't mind. None of the red derivatives, silver, gray, yellow, odd ball stuff like the Beryl Green, amethyst bother me. Inca Gold, Black, Dark Blue of any shade, not gonna happen. I had a nice little 03 Rubi I wound up with in a trade that left the next day for what I had in it just because I didn't like the color. I would have taken a loss to get it out of here.

I recently saw a Jeep TJ sprayed with a finer bedliner in drab olive green. Looked really good.

I saw the same thing on a JKU. It was an olive drab color & looked very nice.

Mainly the looks. The kid with the H2 hated it for two reasons 1) trying to clean it after going in the mud. 2) the weight of the bediliner made opening the hood a bit more difficult.
