I'm installing my new Tom Woods Rear CV driveshaft. I've got the 12pt 8mm bolts that shipped with the driveshaft as well as a set of bolts that came with the SYE kit. They are all identical and too long to install on the back side of the yoke. I mean, they are slightly too long to fit and slide in the holes between the yoke and housing of the SYE.
I can get them on there by pulling the yoke nut off, sliding it out on the output shaft and putting them in the holes before tightening the yoke bolt back - but that seems odd. I'd have to pull the yoke nut to get the bolts back out. I guess that isn't a huge deal aside from the fact that pulling the yoke will disturb the carefully RVT-ed yoke-bolt install.
It just seems like the instructions would have mentioned it.
I've got the Rugged Ridge Mega-short SYE kit and it installed painlessly up till this point.
Any thoughts guys?
