Tailgate interior lighting?

I am finding that I need to get things out of the jeep at night,
short of keeping a flashlight just for that,
show me your mods for rear lighting!

I jut threw one of these on my tailgate, low tech, low cost (<$10), attaches with a magnet. Maybe not the best solution but works for my needs.

I have something similar...works well as you take it off and move it around if you need some light to look in a bag or box you have in the back.

That thing gives you all the light you could want and more. First time I saw it in use I was amazed at how well it works.

well it looks like it should fit, but it would have to be up off the bottom off the glass door, I am also not sure how farthe curvature is off, and whether a heat gun would resolve the issue

It's absolutely awesome. I was really impressed when I saw it. It also looks factory too.

I carry a Milwaukee Rover rechargeable light in kaizen foam in the recess on my dash.

Super handy , and has a magnetic end so I can stick it anywhere.

How does it deal with the tailgate? I would be worried about it getting slammed around.

It sits an inch or so up on the inside of the glass so the tailgate doesn’t even contact it at all.

This thread inspired me to be more creative with my rear cargo area lighting... i had a dome light from an M60 series tank. Had it for years, but had forgot about it till this thtead.... had to dig deep in the parts shed for it!
