I have what appears to be the start of a throwout bearing chirp.
Whenever I push the clutch pedal to floor, I begin to hear a rattling chirp noisy (sounds like a bearing on the fritz). 99% certain it's my TO bearing.
Normally, if my Jeep had high mileage, I would just replace the clutch + all wear components and call it a day. However, my TJ has only 60k on it (not a DD).
With stories of factory clutches going 130k+, I'm not really wanting to prematurely replace it, but I do want to take care of the rattle.
What would the community do in my position? Plan for an entire clutch replacement early, or separate the tranny and just replace the worn parts?
