I'm not camping in Moab, so I wont have any gear with me. Haven't done any research on the area yet.

Maybe we should start a separate Sand Hollow thread.
I second the motion of a new thread.

I have a truck with a camper (Lance) in the bed so we would be camping and flat tow the TJ.

We camped at Quail Creek SP (5-10 minutes from Sand Hallow SP) a few years ago (didn't have the jeep at the time), it was nice. We stopped briefly at Sand Hallow SP camp ground to shower (they only had outside showers at Quail creek).

I think this article is referring to the real Bronco...Not the Explorer Bronco.
Didn't mean to sound like I was dogging the article. Was just pointing out the dealer has a "sport" in stock.

Anyway who's ready for April? We are looking forward to it. Anyone in the area? Not to get political here, just wondering how things are out there?

I'm ready for someplace to go, perhaps some who have been can give a quick insight to the process for permits and signing up for trails as I know some of them have vehicle limits.

I know you need to book elephant hill 24 hours before you run it. It can be done online and if I recall correctly they ask for groups no larger than 4 leaving roughly every 20 min from the trail head.

They also have an area you pay for, daily, yearly etc, that has the big name trails in it. (Hells revenge, fins and things...)

There are tons of trails around the area too such as moab rim, poison spider, jax trax, top of the world, and Pritchett canyon. For those you just drive right up, air down, and go have fun. (Unless you're like @JMT and stay aired down all week)

@tomtaylz looked into permits for other trails near moab so he may chime in. If I recall correctly though they were more overlanding type trails.

If most of these can be booked online that would be great, hard to say what conditions will be onsite due to the covid.

Only trails in canyonlands need to book online. Such as elephant hill.

Sandflats recreation area is where Hells revenge and fins and things are. It’s a small fee for daily entry and a little more for a week pass.

Other than that sign up on the TJFest website.

Am signed up, got my shirt, sweatshirts and hat.....time to tear some stuff up!

At this point I say I'm a 25% chance of making it. Parts have taken WAY longer to come than expected, current world events have just slowed everything down to a crawl. I just got in my shifter which came in this past week. My adapter is finally being made this week, had delays on the adapter because of a delay on the new input shaft for my NP231 which was a measurement needed for said adapter. I might be able to have my TJ back together this month with a small possibility of getting driveshafts made at the end of January but more than likely I won't get driveshafts made until February now.

IF everything goes back together without any issues that would give me February, March and the beginning of April to make sure everything on my TJ is working for a 4000+ mile round trip to Moab. At this point I just don't know if I'll make it, I think if I have anymore delays I'll have to cancel, I need a few weeks to really test my rig before taking a drive that far.
