I will provide an alternative perspective. In my opinion and based on my wheeling style the stock TJ Dana 44's are not strong enough for 35s, even with chromoly shafts. Warranty chromoly shafts are nice, but not if you are dealing with the breakage on the trail. Also the collateral damage of broken parts gets expensive (i.e. broken axle shaft damaging locker). I consistently was breaking parts and dealing with issues in the rear Dana 44 and recently upgraded to the RJ60, we will see how that holds up. I am still running the stock Dana 44 with RCV shafts up front, but the tubes are too thin and it is bent and just a matter of time before it starts giving me issues.
If I was starting over from the beginning I would go with the RJ60 in the rear and a HP44 in the front (RJ44, 78-79 Ford, dynatrac, etc....). Even the ECGS front HP44 has much thicker tubes and is on my radar right now, but I haven't pulled the trigger hoping something comes up on FB Marketplace or local.
Again, all based on the type of wheeling that I do and my driving style, my TJ gets treated more like a Buggy on 35's. Just a different perspective.
