Transmission leak

I just had my transmission rebuilt and in the rebuild I had my mechanic relocate the vent. I ran a hose from new location on top of transmission to top of firewall. With ARB breather kit.

Problem I’m having is a get periodic spurts of fluid from hose when driving.

What could be causing this

Your description sounds like the line is not venting properly which causes a slight build up of pressure in the hose.
Take a look at the routing of the new line checking for kinks.... or a pop it valve is sticking.

2nd this. I did this relocation and had it spit up ATF, I could also hear it gurgling through the vent tube when I was adding fluid. Turns out I had a low spot in the hose and some had pooled up in there and couldn’t drain back down.

I shortened my hose and made it slope down the entire way, problem solved.
