I was just about to say "purple waffle" but you beat me to it.
I think I fall under the idiot category too, since I didn’t tape off the area well enough and got a little overspray on my paint
Now I get to try and get that to come off

, anyway just rub that over-spray off with a rag & acetone, it'll come off in 2 seconds
Finally cleaned out my engine bay. Didn’t get everything cause some stuff was really caked on/hard to reach but it’s a lot better

CPS swapped to new doorman one (faster one I could get to troubleshoot)as well as replacing the 02 sensors with NGK units correct for the 97 and still no dice. Found no melted wiring or broken connectors. Charging the battery now and have the power disconnected to clear the pcm again. I wonder if the PCM gave up the ghost.

Replaced the heater resistor thingy today. Now I have #1 & 2 fan speed! Wooo!
Also did some online shopping. Ordered a new wiper arm (spring is no longer holding the arm against the window), and a couple of new rear sway rubber bushes. Hopefully get rid of a squeak and stop the rear sway moving side to side so much.
Oh yea and ordered a Bestop Trektop NX!! Woooo!
Let’s see how long it takes to get to New Zealand (currently back ordered until July though Quadratec). And let’s see if it has the huge logo across the rear top….

Did a oil change on mine this week and broke the CVV line from the intake to the valve cover while changing the PCV and CVV as well as grommets. Ugh
although she has earned a spot in the top garage for a bit, sold my 2020 Subaru Outback for basically what I paid. So gonna buy something completely impractical to driver everyday like a c5 convertible.

Wash, claybay and wax so it looks pretty for my off road trip in 2 weeks.
Dropped it off at the paint shop today.
Drove it everywhere I could Washed, detailed a little. Pure enjoyment.

Started my Savvy slider install. Picked up a rotabroach kit and nutsert tool based off the advice I saw on here. Nutserts in the flares all fought me, but was able to get them cut off, and mocked the slider base up. Excited to finish the install! Planning to leave the base bare and paint the sliders black.
antirock arm wasn’t tight enough and worked it’s way sideways. Disassembled, cleaned, greased and reinstalled.

Finished a month long project. Radiator hoses, fan clutch, Installed titanium studs in the head to replace the rusted intake/exhaust manifold bolts, replaced gasket, installed header and intake Friday. Today installed all 4 O2 sensors. Getting parts here sucks.
