What do you think about this?

I'd be really surprised if any state charged for it. You can be humble if you want, but I can guarantee you a PH plate will get you our of a lot of tickets.
To be clear I am NOT a PH recipient. I was asking another member who is in OH and is a PH recipient, I believe. Just trying to point out that he may be able to save a few bucks.

We used to call that an “I love me wall” when guys had every award they ever got framed and hanging In their house, apartment, whatever. Now you see the equivalent plastered all over the back windows, bumpers, etc.
Although I’m proud of my time in the service, it’s not the only thing I’ve ever done, or will do. I have all my awards, certificates, letters, etc. in a big ass binder on a shelf in my closet. All medals, ribbons, patches, ropes, and stuff in boxes. Never felt a need to boast, or brag and would rather stay kind of incognito about it. I’ll answer questions if people ask, and about the only discount I take advantage of is at Home Depot. There are many others out there that did more than me, did it longer than me, paid more for doing it than me, and I’ll gladly give them the love moreso than me.

Yeah all my decs and medals and whatever are in a box in the closet... However I do have a wall in my workout room of mementos that, to me, are much more valuable than some ribbons I got from Big Air Force. Framed pictures of certain jets, friends, shit blowing up, lithographs, patches, etc... I love looking at it, reminds me of all the cool shit I got to do and great people I got to know along the way. Don't feel a need to share it with anyone maybe except my kids when they ask.

Reminds me of something my dad told a looooooong time ago: Don't let your profession become your identity because one day you'll have to move on.

It's tacky as hell, but they've earned the right to do it.

The whole "veteran parking" thing is a whole new level of stupidity.
