Which donor vehicle alternators will work in a TJ?

My alternator pulley is toast, and I was going to head to the U-Pull-It this weekend to grab another (since it's cheaper to do that then get a new pulley).

Anybody have a list of donor alternators that would work with the TJ (Specifically for a 1998)? I don't mind cutting an unused bracket off if I need to. I don't really care about higher power (If I do get a higher power alternator, I will also do the Big 3 upgrade to make sure it's safe).

So far, my research has yielded (For a 1998 4.0L):
1) Any TJ/YJ from 90-98 (2.5L or 4.0L)
2) Any XJ (Either 2.5L or 4.0L)

Questions:
Is there a reason not all XJs work? Same question applies to all 04-06 Durangos with the 3.7L.

Looking at RockAuto, it seems that the Durango alternator is also compatible with a KJ, WJ, and a Commander. Is this true? (It looks like the 3.7L and the 4.7L engines are the same as the durango for the 05-06 WJ and the KJ.

Is the ZJ also a good donor?

Any others that anyone has tried?

I used a Delco. Only one wire, no exciter or voltage regulator

I have the 2006 dodge durango 160amp, just bolted it in, plug worked fine.
