Who doesn't use their back seat?

I removed the rear seat as soon as I got the LJ home. I still use it frequently ... as a place to sit when in the garage.
I've had mine out for 10 years, then grandsons were born, so back in it went. I find that the seat muffles road noise better, so I leave it in except for when the pup rides along.
I appreciate all the responses so far! It appears that those who actually use the rear seat are few and far between. I've been considering taking it out for a while, as there just is no room behind the rear seat. My wife and I are it for passengers. The two pups usually sit in our laps whenever they go with us...

I have never used mine and take it out when wheeling or taking a trip. The rest of the time the rear set is stored in it's original location.
My Tiga looks like your pups.
She doesn't like to ride though. The only one that does is the darker brown one in the middle. She has a booster seat that goes in the front seat, but if she did have to ride in back, I would probably strap the booster down somehow.
I like your 'herd'! Both of mine go nuts if they even hear the word Jeep, or car, for that matter...My Tiga looks like your pups.
Ditched my rear seat a while back for the extra storage space. Getting a pup soon, so it'll likely become his area primarily. Pics will be coming as soon as everything is made final. =)
I have one, use it very occasionally. My Sis in law will ride around with us when she's in town a couple times a year, or I'll take my brother and a couple of his kids out wheeling. For the money I have into it (I didn't buy it with the jeep) I'll keep it. I have a nice garage shelf that it sits on when not in use.
The backseat came out of my LJ soon after I bought it. I strap the rear tire to the tub in its place with room for a big tool box to spare. I can't see putting the seat back until the day I sell it.
I have an expensive Bestop back seat that is cream colored and doesn't match my black interior. With the nice wider back. Was going to just cover it with seat covers. But I'm going to take it out. And sell it. But I would prefer to sell or trade it for a nice condition black agate stock back seat 97-02. Just to have when we have passengers (rarely).
Can't wait to use the space better. Also going to take out my rear security gate box so I can properly throw groceries back there from the back. I do need the storage.
SO if anyone has a black agate back seat for the early model. I'd be very willing to trade or sell mine to buy yours.

If you don’t have kids or a purpose for it, I would take it out. Since my kiddos go 4wheelin with me I keep it in. If not, I would take it out or at least fold it up to fit all necessary equipment when wheeling

My back seat was used once last summer, when my 20 year old son, my wife and I went out to eat . I don't know what I was thinking but I let him drive and thought I would hop in the back. Well, I did ride in the back both to get there and back home. It's amazing how much work it took a 51 year old, 6" 1"/ 245lb guy to get in or out. I'm lucky I survived.
Now my seat, the mounting brackets and the seatbelts just sit on a shelf in my garage.
