More heat more heat! Crank er upI tacked the frame sleeves in place and then removed the steering box. Then worked on getting everything welded.

Some of my welds were trying to win the GOBBER award so I took the grinder to them with a flap wheel.

And I have a heck of a time welding upside down.

Because I only use 3 of the mounts for the steering box I cut the parts off sticking above the frame.

Now it's back to playing with the suspension and steering.

The kit looks awesome! Did you wipe it down with alcohol or non-chlorinated brake clean? That will help a lot.I'll try that next. I've still got some welding to do on other parts.

I’m sure it will hold up good I’ve never seen a walk though of this so I’m keeping close watch on it.Yes I sprayed them with brake clean before I got started. They ain't pretty but it's on.
Looks like you’re making good progress brother, remind me why I would want to do this mod, asking for a friend.Yes I sprayed them with brake clean before I got started. They ain't pretty but it's on.

i have been looking at the options for stretching the WB, also now I see how the twisted pitman comes into playNashville TJ is the only other person I know of that has installed this kit.
It allows you to move the axle forward up to 3" which then allows you more room for steering & suspension linkage. Plus it rotates the steering box up and out of the way.
For me it was also about getting clearance for the fodees at the rear of the wheel well at full stuff / full turn.Nashville TJ is the only other person I know of that has installed this kit.

Was the frame’s squareness checked before and after welding? Seems that without the factory crossmember, things would move, no?
I literally expect to not receive an item with FedEx that lands in Troutdale Oregon when on its way to me.There are TIME I really dislike FedEx & UPS. Why they say something is going to be delivered on a certain day only to update it later that day to "We don't have a FUCKING CLUE when it'll arrive"
