I want to use the good part of my old winch rope as a winch rope extension. Is there a loop knot that works so there in no metal thimble used? So there is a loop at each end?

Locked Brummel eye splice with some abrasion guard.
So just line the loop with the abrasion sleeve?

I recognize those brass do-it eye's. Also the lead flash and scorched wood. :D
Somebody has been making a bunch of fishing weights. I make a bunch for halibut and salmon fishing.
Here's a link to a guy that makes awesome billet aluminum molds.

I have a few of his molds. It is my side gig. Paid for a lot of toys. Lol

I don't need to tell you anything, you're on it!
That's a nice set of molds.

I have that same smelter and I use a big pot with ladles as well because i do as big as 32oz. cannonballs and as small as 1oz.

I do 1oz-3lb balls.
3/4-16oz torpedo
1-10oz pyramids
3,4,5,6 shad jig heads
2-6oz bullet head jigs.
They keep me busy enough. Not as busy as last year but that is ok. I was swamped last summer.
Can’t wait to head over to the salt soon.

That's great, busy enough is perfect as long as you can get out and play! I'm glad you're making some green from it.

Here is the video I followed. The only thing I did different was to taper the tag end of the rope more like the TRE video.
