Ordered a transfer case shifter kit from Savvy. No communication from them, no reply to emails or texts. Phone calls not answered, voicemail box full.

Cancel the order and go with Novak or…?

This is a common problem with Savvy and there are threads were it's been discussed. If you're not hearing from them, it's likely the item isn't in stock. If you're not in a hurry, wait and it will come when they are back in stock. If you need something in a hurry, go elsewhere.

How long has it been? Did you receive an order confirmation? Check your junk box if you haven't. That's where mine were located.

OMG! You can't say ANYTHING negative about savvy on this forum, didn't you get the memo when you signed up?

I've seen plenty of members complaining about long wait times. I feel like no one on this website every ordered CDs in the 90s. I can't remember the company BMG or columbia, but it would take months to receive those orders and you never heard anything from them. I think we are so used to amazon level shipping that we have a hard time waiting on anything anymore, myself included.

I ordered doors on June 15th, sent an e-mail asking if they had been shipped. The website showed 1 in stock and the day after I ordered they were out of stock. I texted on June 28 about a status on my order with the order number. Received an e-mail the next day about scheduled shipment and received them July 3rd.

Business standards change with tech.... therefore our expectations change with them.

Recieving my Badges of Honor from Jeep takes absolutely forever!

Savvy is a rip off of Novak’s design with a slightly different mounting bracket.

The big problem with Novak is they will respond….who needs that silliness.
No, Savvy's is not a "rip off" of Novak's design. Blaine came up with several design improvements for Novak including a stronger no-flex mounting bracket and better quality bushings. He submitted them to Novak but they never responded, they continue to build it as-is. So he took the improved design to Savvy and that's what Savvy is selling today.

Saying it's a "rip off" is both incorrect and mean-spirited. Or do you just hate Savvy that much that even though the reason for Savvy's improvements has been described here often, that you just hate Savvy so much that you refuse to acknowledge what their version really is?

Only thing I hate about savvy is their business model and the constant apologist fanboys on this forum making excuses for piss poor CS. Stop selling direct to the public or hire someone to answer the emails.

PS I have the savvy shifter cable and it works nice. I’ve never heard anyone who actually has a Novak complain.

That's a problem but Savvy is not a mass-market company, they never intended to be, and they don't have banks of operators waiting to take our calls. But most agree the quality of their designs and products are good enough that they don't constantly bitch and moan about having to wait for products like some feel inclined to do. They're far from being the only high-end provider whose lead times and responsiveness could be greatly improved. Just stop being an asshat about it.

I'm human, so I complain occasionally. That said, I've installed enough parts over the years to know quality, fit and finish. It's one of the reasons I wait.

Sort of-
I picked the Novak cable to be included in the first iteration of the Under Armor all inclusive package. It was okay, but it became obvious quickly that there were some improvements that needed to be made. Gerald was buying them 50 at a time from Novak to send out with the U/A. We got tired of having to drill the tub holes out to make the bolt pattern work and the angle on the tub side was wrong to keep the cable where it exits the housing from excessive wear. There was an issue with the adapter bushing in that the snout was too long and the ball stud would wobble.

I got in touch with them and asked if they wanted me to carefully modify one and send it over to be duplicated to make it a better product since that would be good for their customers and good for Savvy. They declined and about the same time they raised the price to Gerald by an insane amount and then all but stopped deliveries leaving Savvy high and dry without a shifter solution. Gerald said that was enough of that crap and asked me to design one. I started with a tub I have to get the angle correct and worked with a local cable manufacturer (Control Cables) to build one from scratch.

I could make a case for Novak ripping me off since I was doing custom cable shifters long before they came out with their product. But, there again, cable shifters have been in use on the TJ since 97, so did I rip them off, was I ripped off?

Not really, cables used in push/pull applications is nothing new or inventive. Just a way to make something work.

Just so you know, this isn't the first time I've explained and while I really should follow the rule that it is not wise to explain, your friends don't need it and you aren't going to change the opinions of the fuckwits, at least now, you can repeat the accurate version.
