1997 "beater bomb"

Oh, got it! Well then yes, those wheels should be a nice addition!

You must be getting bored if you've started working on the XJ now :p

Yes sir. I wish I never would of started it. Just left it alone. (I've never said that in my life). It was a night mare.

Well now that you've started on the XJ, it's too late to stop!

Some progress...

Looks like that thing is coming along nicely!
Slower than I would like. Had to move my upper link. Then it was too long. So I cut 3" out of the tubing ,sleeved it and welded it back together. Honesty shooting for driving this weekend. Re-routing the exhaust is gonna be fun.

After hours of trying to figure out how to mount the front track bar to the frame I finally decided to cut off the stock mount. It was was a night mare, had I taken the time to drop the axle and remove the steering box from the get go it would of been easier. Maybe today I'll get it mocked up.
I did manage to run to 4x4land in Topeka KS for weld in bungs and inserts for my GM 1 ton TREs

Mmmm, looks nice and sexy!
Thanks. Ended up butchering 3 ruffstuff mounts before I got to this point. Lots of second guessing my work. Without having all of my steering it's been a challenge.

Lots of work the last few nights trying to get it all done. Had to source a wagoner pitman arm so I would have ehough up travel on the driver side.

Drove it late Friday night up the main drag in town, stupid loud with dumped straight pipe. Brakes are still a major concern. Still trying to research on how to get a strong pedal again.

Yesterday passenger front caliper froze up and I drove it home with it smoking.

I'm trying to do some research on what master cylinder to swap in, but it's nuts the amount of info. Feeling overwhelmed. Need to find someone who's done a full width swap and talk about what I actually need.
