02' TJ - Capable daily driver

For the Manifold and the rest of the routing, i initially planned on doing something like @DylanM345, with everything mounted beside the York with an in-line cooler, but after mocking up a few brackets it was clear that it wouldn't fit with the stock air box, so i eventually decided to mount it across the engine bay

I ran a braided hose from the York so that it was temperature safe

And for the quick connect i routed it to the front bumper

I might eventually have one going to the rear bumper as well, but for now i have a long enough air hose to reach all four tires

Then for the switch i wanted an In-cab factory looking switch

Heres the final product:

Everything works great and fills from 12 - 26 psi in about 30 seconds. Thanks again @Wildman and @DylanM345 for answering my many questions

Always glad to help where I can and it was great meeting you. You did a great job on the OBA and I know from past experience that you'll love it when airing up tires. If you have air tools try them out too. Can't run them for long periods but still nice.

Looks awesome. Happy to help. I may be copying yours now since I put my stock intake back in and cant fit the old bracket. I think I'm gonna use my front bumper as a mini air tank(y)

Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Looks like your quick disconnect needs a pacifier.

Yep already turned him on to those.

I had these rubber covers but if you're rig is parked out in the sun for very long they crack and split.

About the same price as Wits End but has a wire leash so you don't lose them.

I run the rubber Parker style cover too but mines under the hood and not out on the bumper. They are much cheaper, a few bucks.

Yes for the under the hood coupler they work great but not for out in the sun.

Did a little search just for my info and Amazon wants $11 or more for them but you can get the Parker brand at Grainger for $3.50. Sometimes doing a search is worth it. I'd bought mine from Kilby back in the day.

Do you use your's for lockers as well? Currently deciding if i should get a separator ARB just for lockers or if i should run them off the York

Another quick project while i’m collecting parts for the TT was to finally get a good storage system installed

When i picked up the York from @Wildman he also let me grab a Tuffy security box, so i got that installed

And i wanted a setup that didn’t require any tie downs but could also be easily removed, so i decided to get some more milwaukee packout boxes and dedicate them to trail gear

I got one of their large wall mount plates with intentions to bolt it to the security box and be able to have 1 large packout box next to a stack of smaller ones, but milwaukee designed it so that it wouldn’t fit the large box next to the small box’s

So i decided to cut one of the sections off and space it out an inch and then bolt them down separately

Using Nutserts in the Tuffy box i bolted everything down

Now everything fit and I am able to have any combination of packout boxes

Hoping to pickup the milwaukee packout socket set and some other stuff to complete the setup, but for now it’s sturdy and easily removable

Molle attachments, they came with the bartact seat covers, they’re for mounting different molle attachments like bags

MOLLE attachments are a popular way to organize gear in off-road vehicles. By mounting different MOLLE attachments like bags and pouches, it helps to keep essential gear easily accessible.

^^this was the new “chat gpt” reply feature that @Chris added. I think it answered better than you did @kiwi 😂

I have a love/hate with MOLLE gear. When it came out for the military they had rules on what we could and couldn't use it for and how it had to be setup.

Last minor project i've done recently - Winch rebuild (Part 1)
Went to Elbe with @PNW_LJ a while back and broke the hook off my winch line, it was old and needed an upgrade to synthetic anyway, but i decided while i had the line off i might as well fix the issue of the free spool not engaging
tempImageESmbtv.jpg

This might explain some free spool issue 😬

Winch Rebuild (Part 2)

While everything was removed i went ahead and gave the cases a refresh
tempImageavE0Vd.jpg

This was just using some silver paint i had laying around. Not as gray as the classic warn color, but still looks good
tempImage7NnzW3.jpg

Then onto reassembly

Unfortunately Warn doesn't make decals for the X8000i anymore, so i just cleaned up these the best i could

Winch Rebuild (Part 3)

Everything is back together and working great. Just need to order my new synthetic line and maybe wire up some in cab control

Huge thanks to @Blackjack for guiding me through this whole thing

If you can wait a bit, maybe a while, you could snag Blaine’s new synthetic line that he’s cooking up. (I’ll winch you in the meantime 😜)
