^^^This. I thought I had a RMS leak. Let it go for years cause it was just an occasional drip. I decided to start from the top. Replaced my valve cover gasket, and low and behold, no more drip. A leaky valve cover gasket can mask a RMS leak, fyi.

How hard is it to change the valve cover gasket? Any how tos on that? Once @Dave K. gets his lift in , I plan on doing a good once over . I know I have some leaking somewhere, and will take your advice. Thanks!

It's not a horrible job, but not fun either. The wiring harness at the back of the firewall gets in the way, so you have to fight that some. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward.

I Agree, fighting all the crap in the way is the worst part.
I went with the Fel-pro gasket and make sure you follow the proper torque specs for the bolts, which isn't much IIRC (44 in lbs?)

These are just tears of joy that your Jeep likes to show you. No biggie just keep an eye on it. If u see it on the ground then that’s another story but if you get the seal fixed then get a new clutch too since it will be accessible on the tear down.
