I’m trying to get my 06 4.0L to pass emissions in Atlanta. 1sts time I rolled thru the testing place I failed because 4 status codes were not ready: CAT, EVA, 02S and HTR. No codes. Emission guy said drive around an do some drive cycles and come back. I did. Same status: 4 not ready to test and no codes. I drive around more and get a scan tool. Still not ready and this time a code is pending. P0153 oxygen sensor bank 2/ sensor 1. Slow response. I am pretty sure all 02 sensors are original 148K miles. I figured order that 02 sensor in NTK from Amazon for 35 bucks and replace. Then clear codes

Oh yeah. Any ideas about how to get the thing to pass emissions besides what I’m doin?

1. the 05-06 has a manufacturing anomaly that doesn't allow the O2 heater monitor to set There is a TSB for a relatively simple wiring fix. You can DIY or I believe have the dealer do it for free.
2. are you running/following the Chrysler drive cycle steps?

I was able to run the complete drive cycle and set all of the monitors in my driveway with the rear axle on jackstands.

This is what I did. I'm not driving around a city for 200 miles or whatever trying to get the right sequence of perfect conditions. Andy
