ya, the pollen for some hangin outside is not an option, plus if you live downwind of a bad chemical plant, or flower farm....or a dirt track..
you got to laugh now, cause ther are those right now, sitting around in chairs, with heads tilted down, not knowing where they are at or whats going on. as i visited a nursing home recently..... you never know whats coming around the corner. any chance at a good, non insulting anybody, laugh..is a prized possesion..an..is rarely turned down

I really dispise the concept of an HOA. I would never consider living somewhere, where I am governed by a private group and told what i can or cannot do with the property that I bought with my own finances. If you can afford to by the home, you should do as you wish with that property, within the confines of the law - regardless of the opinions of your neighbors.
I may not like the color of the paint of the house next to me, and I may consider the power boat going to waste on the side of the house down the road to be an eyesore, but it is none of anyone else's business and overall does nothing to decrease the value of surrounding properties.

Absolutely hang clothes to dry. We don't even own a dryer. We hang one load at a time through the colder rainy months in the craft room off the kitchen. We heat and cook strictly with wood (mostly free oak and pine). We have a 5 year old wood cook stove in the kitchen with a glass top and 2.7CF oven. We also have an outdoor kitchen for warmer weather cooking and canning the bounty of the gardens. That outdoor cookstove is a 1956 Sears 6 burner unit with an oven. All LEDs in the house, off grid solar backup, etc. Electric bill runs about $40./month year round.
Ditto! The Koi pond pump + UV lighting takes over in the warmer months for our 20kW heater in the colder months :/
I have a river with 600 feet of walkin frontage for cooling off. Natures AC as well (not even a unit in the house). Every morning year round as the sun crests the ridge we get a rush of cold air off the mountain (live at 2000' elevation). Once that stops with all the windows open, we shut it down and even in 90+ deg weather it stays comfy in the house.
With that many tanks/pond you should be raising tilapia or crayfish to eat.

or pay some college students on electric bikes to produce it...
I am going to start looking into solar, I can buy a system outright for $20,000.....just trying to figure out how much longer I plan to stay here before retiring out of state.
just do your research hard, cause theres a lot of systems out there, not to buy. I cant see it being nothing but an investment for the future buyers that they would be willing to pay more for.
who has cleaned out their coils for their refrigerator lately, to save on their electric bill. just used this electric coil spray cleaner, along with some air, an vaccum....? keep the activity on the calendar.
what do you do to save money to spend on jeep parts. I have quit using the dryer an hanging the clothes, an try to hang them in the day time, to not use electric with light. collect the second discharge rinse water in washer to use for filling up washer, in a blue like twenty gallon tub, an also use discharge water sometimes to flush toilet, but dont leave it in there long, an i put a spash beach in, covered, for later. i fill bucket with cold water in shower till it gets hot, to use for toilet.
Bravo sir, your dedication is honorable. I mainly just not buy things for a few weeks. So I guess my tactic is abstinence to let the check book quit smoking.
