I find "cold air intakes" to typically be annoying with sound. Ever heard a generic "tunner" car on the street accelerate with a deep, throaty sound? That's from a generic cold air intake.
Does a CAI make a TJ sound better?

This works better, Many Honda owners have them.
p.s. Maxwell house sounds best.

It's Mopar. Not uncommon for stuff like this to have been subcontracted out. Doesn't matter who made it, I'm not a fan of the sound.

I saw one of those the other day and it was only about 6" off the ground. My wife said, "I bet it sounds best when they try to go over speed bumps. The sparks look pretty for Christmas."

For those who like intake sounds , there is an answer .
I had a CAI on my 03 Suburban 6.0 for 6 months. Had to take it off because the noise it made when I hit the gas would scare the shit out of my passengers. Luckily I saved everything and replaced it. Other than the noise I saw no increase in performance.
Likely no difference since it was probably not actually getting cold air from under the hood.
In my case the cowl intake made a big difference in power because I went from 150-180 deg intake temps to 100-130 depending on conditions.
Scaring the crap out of the passengers is reason enough to love a CAI !
Just got my cowl intake done. Absolutely sounds like a beemer with a CAI piped into the cab now. Especially wot.

Is there any area to make a sound wall? Just something to isolate and redirect the intake noise from the cabin?
