That’s the only direction I’ve gone. I could have sworn I saw a sign for Rusty Nail going that direction. Perhaps I was looking back.

OK why does it matter? Are some obstacles harder one way than the other? I did it one year but can't remember which way we ran it.

You could do it the other way but traditionally you'd run rusty nail first otherwise you have to climb No Left Turn instead of descend it. More potential to slip off the wall and smack it when climbing.

elephant hill is awesome, if you can camp back there for a night I'd highly recommend it.

What's there for overnight?
I could trailer down with the Lance.
I can carry 15 extra gallons of gas if there wouldn't be any clearance issues with the morryde side cans.

It's not a tough trail, but it's fun. Granted it is a good ways from Moab - so plan accordingly.

I dont know, I haven't looked as I'm staying in Moab. I dont think you need to carry gas. Stop A has gas, though expensive supposedly

I can carry 5 gallons high on the rear. I've never checked mpg closely but 10ish seems to be it (combo). Planning for the spare strapped in the backseat space.

I was considering putting all the suggested trails into a poll and letting people vote on all the trails they want to do in order to gauge interest for those specific trails.

I'm up for all of 'em but I haven't done Ciffhanger or behind the rocks.

Cliffhanger is a fun trail. Not super hard but not a stock rig trail either.

The views are worth it.

First time I drove the jeep down and wheeled and drove back. Got back to Moab and the low fuel light came on as I pulled into the shell. I did have a spare 5 gallons I didn’t use.

The next time we trailered down and back, no fuel concerns.
