2005 bright silver auto TJR

You change your mind like I change my underwear dude! LOL. Nice JK. I'm not gonna bag on you for it. My folks have a '16 2 door and it is 10x the vehicle my TJ is. Yes, its got more doo-dads to break and a lot more electrical gremlins to deal with. Driving every day though? No contest. If I had to Daily my wrangler, I'd sell it for a JK tomorrow.

You should consider parting out a few of those nice mods you put on. I'd be a strong contender for that rear bumper of yours! I'm only a few hours away [emoji57]

Alright alright lol I can’t keep it going. I honesty thought I would get more backlash than this hahaha. I’m not gonna lie I would love to buy that one, but my backyard has a lot of work that needs done and I have a ring to save for lol. I’m too cheap to spend upper 20s on a Jeep right now haha. I’m still here and my tj hasn’t left me yet! That would be how I would build one tho lol. ARB/AEV hybrid.

I don't blame you. I bought a new 2007 JK Rubi back in 2006, and had that for 6 years, and really enjoyed it. I could kick myself for selling it. I had it just the way I wanted it; one day got the itch for another TJ, the rest is history. It had an OME lift, Pintler wheels like you want, 285/75-17 Cooper Discoverer STT tires, both tops, Shrockworks stubby front bumper, Expedition One rear bumper and integrated with tailgate tire carrier, and a bunch of other upgrades. This is the only photo I could find with the Cooper tires and AEV Pintlers, and it had a FabFours swing-out tire carrier at the time:

This later when I got KM2s and went back to the Moabs, with the Shrockworks stubby front bumper:

I also modified the Rubicon rock rails, and added tubing for steps:

Still miss that JK. But not the 3.8.
That is a nice looking JK! Yea the 3.8 would not be good. Love the green!

The jk s a daily jeep dream. My tj isn’t terrible as I only drive less than 10 miles a day. I have to admit the look of the tj does look a ton better, but the jk comfort can’t be matched by the tj. I looked and looked until I could find a bright silver metallic to compare to my tj and that one is pretty spot on haha.

So I have a spiderwebshade coming Friday @Chris your welcome amazon prime ;) was going to do the alien shade but couldn’t find the long one with prime shipping. They look about the same.

Dude... April Fools has long since passed.

You had me going though. No backlash on my part though. I like a nicely done JK (especially a 2 door), so I have respect for them. However, I just don't like them as much as a clean TJ.

The other thing is, I think you'd be stupid to get a JKR without the Hard Rock package. The hood and bumpers make it look so much better.

I disagree as I had the hardrock bumpers on my 2014. They are “ok” and not worth the added inflated cost. I would much rather have the AEV or ARB bumper for half the cost. The Mopar front is 1300 bucks lol...not worth that. The rear is a nice bumper, but again I would opt for the AEV rear bumper with tire carrier any day over the way overpriced Mopar. Just my 0.2 tho

That's why you buy a JK with the Hard Rock package, then you don't have to pay $1300 separately. I actually really like the Hard Rock bumpers over the AEV ones in all honesty. That's just me though. I think that Hard Rock package just makes the JK look so much better than it would otherwise.

My biggest issue with the JK is of course the front dumbo fender flares. I'd have to find something that was a bit smaller and not as large. Those factory front flares just kill me with how big they are.

For me, the JK isn't any more comfortable than a TJ, swap some new seats into the TJ and you'd be in a far better position. With the Jeeps especially, they are big Meccano sets and can be made into whatever your heart desires off the shelf.

I'm more inclined to keep the TJ once built and buy a sports or muscle car and have the best of both worlds.

Yea I’m just not a huge fan of them. I bought them and had them on my old jk....also the hardrock Rubicon badge is too goofy for me. I like the plain Rubicon lettering without the bigger letters and red outline; too much going on for my taste. The AEV and the Mopar are two totally different bumpers when you take the endcaps off tho so can’t really compare the 2. The front flares are very big, and there’s not much out there to fix that I’m afraid. The highline flares Mopar makes for the JKs do look better than the factory flares tho. Just like the AEV highline you can add those flares and run 35s with no lift.

I’ve seen a bunch of aftermarket metal fender flares that look way better than stock, but you also have to change the inner fenders as well.

Installed my spiderwebshade today. Could be one of my favorite mods to date. Sun shines through but you don’t bake. I love it.
