Harbor Freight tail lights on a TJ?

Ok… this is probably a dumb question but I’m curious. Does anyone know or put the harbor freight brake lights on there TJ? The mounting pattern seems to be the same but not sure. Any help would be appreciated

Yes, they're generic an they should fit just fine. All you'll have to do is wire them up.

Not sure how much you can trust this, but someone in the reviews said they installed them on a TJ. Looks like they should work, def not the same quality as the Black Magic lights. Harbor Freight is the type of store I go to for tools if I need a cheap wrench I can cut in half to make a specialty tool.

Yea need something soon. My current housing the bulb socket is broken. Either go with Amazon or harbor freight for now…

The HF ones are easier to return if you have any issues and no shipping charges either.

Those HF lights look like the generic Chinesium available everywhere. If they are, give them a pass. I have them (generic) on my utility trailer and they're not particularly bright. Plug some LED bulbs into your stock housings, change the flasher relay and you'd be better off.

Well his current socket is broken, so he needs the entire assembly. I'd get the Hobo Freight lights, (they're cheap enough that if you don't like them, they're easily enough replaced), and put decent bulbs in them, whether LED or otherwise.

You can't change the "bulb" in the generics - I'm assuming the HFs are the same...

Did not realize that. I presumed that they had conventional bulbs in them.

That's why I bought my "ring of fire" led 3rd brake light years ago. If someone can't see that, they're drunk/high.
