Picked up some Prevost 6mm push-loc air fittings for trail repairs to the ARB air line.

$1.81/each

Do you have the link where you got them? I thought I blew an air line the trail Wednesday and actually was telling my wife that I need to get the stuff that I need to repair air and fuel lines on the trail.

ARB sells a repair kit. I think it’s like $40 and comes with some ferrules, line, and compression fittings. I already have lots of line and two ferrules.

I bought these locally at ARG Industrial.

Another good thing to carry with you is the pressure regulator for the compressor and either a spare solenoid or fittings to bypass the solenoid. I have personally never seen a solenoid go bad but I have seen the pressure regulator go bad. When I had the ARB, I carried both in addition to hose.

Did you get it out yesterday?

Great things to carry, I also carry a couple pressure switches which has helped others more than a few times now.

It ended up being my solenoid that made me think I blew a line. I came off an obstacle and turned my lockers off. I heard one give the little "psh" and then when I turned the front off the compressor kicked on and I could hear air flowing. I followed the sound and it was blowing out the end of the solenoid. I had my wife turn the compressor off and on and it continued. Then I had her re-engage the front locker and it stopped. I didn't have anymore issues out of it.

Good idea. I’m getting all my tools and parts together and loading them in bags so I can get them all anchored to the floorboard.

I did get out for about an hour and the air line needed fixing and rerouting, so I came home.

Heading out again in about 5 min when my son gets here in his white ‘04!

We’ve got hero dirt right now. You’ll know what that is.

Didn't really have any serioius issues on the trail this morning/afternoon. There was some slight interference between the trackbar joint housing at the frame and the midarm truss. I shortened the arms about 1/8" to move the truss back and hopefully clearance. Aired down to 8psi and my biggest issue was I could tell I definitely need hydro assist. I knew this was coming. I just needed to get to this point in the build to be up for it. It's been a long 8 months. Super happy with how things are working with the rig. Pretty much point it where you want to go. Having the longer wheelbase is nice over steep climbs because it reaches further and the rig is not as vertical when the rear tires start to climb.

My son drove it for awhile so I could get some pics. He was like, "It's not any work out here. All the work is in the garage." I took mostly videos, so I'll post a few screen shots. His rig is an open diff 2.5"+1.25 on 33's. I drove it for awhile. We built it in one night about 5 years ago. Still going strong.

I think he was a little worried about trying anything difficult in mine though there’s not anything very difficult at this OHV. 😆

I’m in the middle of prepping for some new Blaine hydro assist. Mainly I’m waiting on PSC to send me an RMA # so I can ship out my steering box for some modification. In the meantime I’m cleaning up the Fluxor bumper, installing Blaine’s ST fairlead, painting stuff, and thinking about what Blaine said. Shark Hide applied to bumper to avoid as much corrosion as possible in the future.

Every time the answer is from the increased leverage from the tire. The stretching noticably accelerates with 37s. Especially in areas where 37s are beneficial for the trails. This is an axle problem that is not solved with balljoints or deletes. And it is one of several reasons why factory axles are best limited to 35s.

My BJDs were super draggy, I associated that with the Cs actually being quite tight. Having changed the BJs a few times they are still very tight. The extra changes were to remove the BJD in the upper. It does make sense that hydro assist at 37s would be a large increase in “pull-out” force on the C.

@JMT will be interesting to hear your take after an extended highway drive if it tends to feel draggy or not? What exactly are you changing in your PSC box? I need to get mine revised to resist inputs at highway speed, it makes things flighty I think.
