ZJ tie rod upgrade

I painted mine and then ended up doing the Currie correctlink set up, so I have mine all painted and boxed up on my shelf. haha. I am either going to resell it or put it on the gf's tj. Most likely she will get a steering upgrade soon.

I installed the Moog ZJ tie rod upgrade today. All went well but now at full lock there is a grinding noise @ R and L full lock.
Alignment was dead on, makes no sense.

Try putting a finger full of grease on the full lock studs and see if the grinding goes away. Let me know if I am right and it goes away?

when you go full lock there is a stud on the knuckle that rubs against the axle. When you look it just looks like a bolt head that isn't holding anything down it is what stops your knuckles from trurning all of the way into the axle. Some people pull them off and put more washers in them to make it stop sooner than stock. Cover the heads with grease and see if the grinding goes away at full lock.

Im always up for wrenchin. If you have a tj and live near Farmersville, Tx i have a nice garage, big compressor, air tools n stuff.
If you need to wrench on your jeep im north of Dallas. :)
If I am ever in TX I will look you up, bit far to wrench from northern Virginia...;):)

On the steer stops... gotcha. Ill do that 1st thing today

Sorry i am not that articulate especially the later it gets at night. Glad the pictures helped.
Found the source of the noise @ac_ .
My ravine rims are rubbing against the lower control arms at full lock.
Why, .. idk yet, .... its a stock jeep, it didnt rub with the stock tie rod.
Further investigation needed.

Nice so remember that thing I told you to grease. You can now put washers on it to stop it from rubbing for now while you investigate.
