Sadly, it sustained a mortal wound at the hands of my garage door last night.

Now I have a hole exactly the size of the door surround knob punched in it. So, that sucks.


But, on the other hand, I got my new cats on and bolted up. Found a small leak in the exhaust weld the shop did last Monday, so I’ll be headed back over there this afternoon.

When I got it apart, the bank 1 mini-cat was completely empty. But fear not! I found all it’s guts packed up against the main cat which was no doubt causing my CEL code as well as my loss of power.

Thats money on the ground there. You can sell the old catalytic converter to recycling places. There are valuable medals inside.

Most recycling places require the receipt from the new one. ( to stop theft ) i have sold factory cats for 50 to 75 bucks.

installed new blower motor, new switches for HVAC system, New AC/heat panel.

Lubed all lock mechanisms in the doors (Arizona dry!), discarded the old moisture barrier and lined the doors with Kilmat.

Its very similar to suade. You might see it in some of the flagship models from the US auto manufacturers like the newer Camaros or Shelby Mustangs.

Now US Manufacturers are actually putting some thought investment into interior spaces on US cars.

You would deff see this stuff in a higher end entry level luxury car like a BMW or Mercedes. Porshe all day.

I’m skipping out on the shitty weather there in the US. :devil-flip:

I often find myself making little checklist of things I need to research or purchase forg Jeeps that are sitting back in the good ole USA. And I look at pictures of them all the time. Like they are my kids or something...

Dubai is cool and all, but its a rich man’s game out here. Just go to Hawaii. I promise you will be happier there!

I’m right next doors, really close to Alabama. I want to get into a career where I get to travel more, i been in Georgia all my lives.

And I do wonder what kind of college courses you need to get into the cia! That would be interesting.
And be careful mentioning cia while in Dubai. Might get flagged.

Backflushed the heater core. Now I am getting some heat. I don't believe it is as hot as it could be, but in the year and a half I owned the Jeep, not once have I ever needed heat, but I am hoping to find some snow this year. A little heat would be nice.

Yes, Alabama is my home. You just need to look for jobs that travel or network with people in your area who travel.
