Rock sliders that use exsiting Rubicon mounting points

Do any of the manufactures make a rock slider that installs using the existing mounting points found on the Rubicon. I have no interest in drilling new holes in the body. Because I'm installing a 1.25" body lift many options will not work (leaves an ugly gap). Please keep in mind I do not want to spend $400 on this. I don't want to get into some deep conversation about expensive body armor and it's "value" because I do not buy into that.

I also forgot to mention an integral step/bar is necessary. I actually like the existing Rubicon sliders but I'm lifting my Jeep and my wife is short LOL.

Buying some used JCR's this weekend, so I'll let you know how they line up.

They don't exist and there is no reason to make an improved set of sliders that match the Rubicon bolt pattern.

I was afraid of that! I'm thinking about buying the Rough Country and modifying the brackets that attach to the frame. If I make it so they can be mounted 1.25" higher the gap will be gone.

What are you trying to accomplish with the sliders? Is this form or function?

Just need something that will help my wife get in and out that looks good. My jeep will never see hard off road use (I've got other things for that).

MOPAR Rock Rails, but they are hard to find.

PO flipping cut my Rubicon rockers to fit the stupid nerf bars. So they have some areas missing on the underside.

I asked my wife about getting one of those stirrups for her. She laughed at me and said I can imagine me laying on the ground with my leg stuck through the stirrup. LOL

I have Rubicon rocker guards on mine, and I didn't want to drill more holes, so I use these, they require no holes and mount between the existing body mounts. Body Armor makes/sells them, and they make getting in the Jeep a lot easier, but they don't hang down all that much.

I've seen those and I like them but will they work with a body lift? I'm planning to install a 1.25" Savvy (aluminum puck) body lift. I think they would look silly with a 1.25" gap between the body and the rock slider.

They will attach even with a body lift, but there will be a gap.

Yeah, they might look a little goofy with a body lift, so you'll probably want a body mounted setup. I don't have a body lift. Of course body mounted ones will just get higher for your wife with a body lift. Maybe a step welded to your existing guards would be the cleanest way to go though.

Keep in mind that a functional step becomes more functional the lower it is.

No, nobody makes anything like that. The reason is because there is no reason to use them. Just dab a little paint on the old holes and move on. Also, the mounting points are not sufficient to support the abuse real sliders are designed for. Besides, you're going to be drilling holes in the body of the tub anyway (for a tub mounted slider).

I made some stirrups. They are pretty cool. At first I didn't like them, and it does take a little more time to pull out the stirrup, then get in, but I use them even with the JCR sliders which have a step because the step is 27” high. The stirrup is 15” high.

Yep, people don’t seem to get that the step is pretty non-functional. My inseam is 26” and I’m 5’6” tall. So I have to step up 27” to use the step? I don’t even use it. Some people try too. They look stupid. I swing my leg in unless I use the stirrups. Only thing the step gets used for is standing on to wash the hardtop. Very helpful in that respect.
