What did you do to your TJ today?

Mine looks similar but I wanted the yellow digital readout instead of blue/green. Has compass/temp but no map lights. I had to make a harness for my 98 and run the wires along the windshield. I'll take pics later and add them to the Install thread on these in the How To.
That's one of the advantages of the newer model TJs, they have the plastic bezel around the windshield frame to hide wiring (y)

Finished wiring Gentex rear view mirror (made the wires nice and tidy). Replaced factory underhood light with 2 KC Cyclone LED lights wired to a toggle next to the radiator, replaced windshield washer reservoir motor, put center dash panels back on, wash & wax & polish, stand back and admire. Then I went inside and grilled some ribs.
All that and no pis?

Great Scott! 88 mph in a TJ!

What size tires/lift are you running? I tried searching if you had it posted someplace. Looks good despite the depression haha
I have about a 2.5" lift with 1.25 bodylift and running 33×12.5. Unfortunately all building has been put on hold. Was going to sell it and get a LJR. But my wife took it away from me...... now i have to wait till summer and buy a 2nd jeep.

I got to play McGiver so I could drive the Jeep home from work. LOL

Started the Jeep after work and it did something weird. Can't really describe it, but when I went to step on the brake, it was like I lost my power brakes. Now, coming from a Jeep Liberty with all sorts of weird occurrences , I thought it must have been just some weird thing, like maybe something electronic didn't get a signal or something, so I drove on out of the parking lot and when I got to the light, it still was hard to push on the brake. So went to the next place I could pull over and did what I would normally do with the Liberty, I turned it off and back on. Took off, and nope, still no power brakes. Got to the next location to pull over and popped the hood.

I saw this,

But, at the time, I didn't really know what it was supposed to look like. I ended up calling the hubs (hubby). He told me to check the hose, it was fine. Then he said to go run my hand over it and see if I can feel any suction or air escaping. That is when I realized that that little piece was probably supposed to have a cap. I put my finger over it and sure enough, I could feel the suction.

Ok, so my first thought was duct tape. I looked around and where I was at, there were no stores that would carry duct tape. So, I looked in my tool box, nope, no tape there. Looked in my army box that I keep misc stuff in, and still no tape. Well, now what. I work for a grocery store and I need scotch tape at times to do my job. So out came the scotch tape. LOL I also just happened to have one zip tie laying next to my seat. Grabbed the 2 items and began taping the hole best I could and then zip tied the tape ends to help hold them since they didn't really want to stick to the dirty part.

I did stop on my way home and picked up some better tape, but the scotch tape made it all the way home. :D It's a 20 miles trip home. LOL :D

Hubby stopped by at lunch and dropped off a couple of the brake booster part I needed so I put one on and stuck the other one as a spare in my tool box. :D

Here is the reason my cap must have popped off.

Nothing better than shiny new parts in place of old worn ones.

Finished the Bestop rear bumper and Bestop rear tire carrier install. Went pretty well, think I want some frame tie-ins though, as will be using for recovery and for towing a small utility trailer.

Don't mind the yj with 33s and a half inch lift... Mistakes where made before I got to it

Also, had an issue with the rear seat belt. When I unbolted it to attach the Bestop support bracket to the roll bar, it went up, but nothing I could do would make it come down! So I unbolted it completely, then held it over a bucket and sprayed a bunch of brake cleaner into the the little hole in the mechanism shown below. I finished it off by spraying a bit of silicon spray lube in there. It works great now!

On another weird note, the new rear bumper's receiver hole is too small to fit the hitch's pin, but just barely. I could almost pound it in with a hammer. Guess I need to buy a new one?

Definitely put in frame tie in brackets. And a little emery cloth on the hitch pin will probably let it slide right in. Your upgrade is looking good.

I was more concerned about the 3lbs of wheel weights it has 😂 and Id say the powdercoat on the bumper is the reason the pins not fitting.

this evening I started draining the differential so i can remove the ARB Locker to deliver with the upgraded axle for the R&P / locker install by weeks end. I am truly hoping to be up and running mid next week so I can log some miles for break in. I could let my wife drive it ,She's perfect for break in. She drives like an old lady anyway. Hee Hee. More to come.
