Daily Driver, Go Where I Want To Build

Turn signals are in. I still have the odd flash from when I converted to LED years ago. This is still mostly fixed with one old style bulb.

Did you try using a Novita LM470 flasher? It runs my LEDs perfect.

Probably. First, I need to confirm that I have returned the wiring back to stock today after removing the diodes and resistors. I've been fighting this for over 5 years trying to figure it out.

Probably best to start from scratch and follow each connection. Electrical is the biggest pain in the ass I’ve had building trucks over the years.

Here are my measurements for the JK signals.

3.125" from the grill. 3.125" up. 3.125" down and over from edge of the headlight following the centers of both lights.

To get a tighter fit, I cut out a sliver where the flare meets the grill.

At this point I am not using the supplied grill bracket. It doesn't fit as well as I like. And I don't think it provides any real support. There is a tab of sheetmetal under the hood from the inner fender that looks like it can be attached to the grill with a nutsert and would actually do something structural. I'll be doing this soon.

The rears are interesting in that they are fully detachable without tools. The bottom leg of the front is also detachable.

This gets into one big reason I went this direction. I wanted flare coverage. And I wanted that coverage to be soft like factory to prevent damage to the body when I inevitably rake a flare against a rock or tree.

The front end is also 10lbs lighter after removing the sheetmetal. Can't complain about that. Driving around, I almost think I can tell.

The upcoming Savvy engine skid is only 5-6 lbs, so the Jeep will still continue to lose weight in the end.

I like the stance; to a person who is not familiar with Jeeps it could look understated. Its looking good.
I have seen your pics of the trails you run. So I ask, You have the stock Rubicon side rails? Any protection underneath? Do you see the need to upgrade or add protection there?

Got any shots of the whole Jeep now?

I was wondering about rock sliders too. What are you thinking there?

Just the factory sliders. The eventual plan is to put on GenRight mini boatsides.
