What did you do to your TJ today?

Fixed my broken shifter on my auto trans. Garbage piece of OEM plastic that you can’t buy for the 03-06 42RLE. Dorman sells one for 97-02 I found but they forgot about the rest of us!

Seen it posted on the forum that people have used a chopstick, which by the way did work but I opted for a more permanent solution that wouldn’t wear over time and used a piece of 3/16” brake line that I had laying around. Cut it to length and it works flawlessly.

That shifter extension sure looks uncomfortable 🤣

Mounted my winch and the Warn winch plate I got for $50(!) also a couple Curt tow hooks. The winch is just there for looks right now because the motor is shot. I’m going to route the power cables in the meantime.
Edit: must disconnect battery prior to working on electrical system. DAMHIK 😳🤦‍♂️🤣

Just did a repair on the door pillar. Had a dent and some scratches from p/o. Coated with primer, Came out great. asking what a good top coat would be. I have read that the color silverstone is hard to match.

Finished the SYE and put the transfer case from -2" back to normal height, and swapped the upper control arms/set rear pinion angle.

Took a quick trip around the block and holy hell, it's not even recognizable as the same vehicle it's so smooth! I dropped the tcase from -1 to -2 while I was getting the funds for the sye kit,and that made it way better but this is so smooth I had no idea it could get this good.

I can't believe the PO was driving it around the way it was and just accepting it😝

Same thing happened to me when I installed mine! I was shocked at how smooth and normal it rode! Still unclear on why people just don't spend the little bit of money to do it right! Great job!

Got it inspected today. Had to switch wheels out with the smaller ones that came with the Jeep because the new ones stick out past the flares.
Now looking at replacing flares with something that will cover the bigger tires.

Not sure what you currently have, factory Rubicon flares and Sahara flares are 1 inch wider than non-rubicon TJ/LJ flares.
