If you wanted a mall crawler you would have purchased a 2007-present Jeep Wrangler (of which I shall not speak it's Chrysler body code).

I'll tell you, it's always a blast. And honestly, I don't dislike JK's. I was in the market for one a few years ago. But reading issue after issue and how difficult they can be to DIY because of the newer technology, let me not forget the absurd cost to buy, I refused to commit. Love my TJ!

I believe you have to take off half of your air intake to get to 3 of your spark plugs?
Or, on our TJ's, how you replace the taillight bulbs by just taking out 4 screws?

I refuse to call my TJ a "mall crawler", my bad back would prohibit me from doing any moderate wheeling, I would pay dearly for some shananigans like that. So, let's just call HRNT a "Street Jeep". I'd like to get 'er all muddy, but I think I'd even be slightly annoyed by that. I dig my Jeep being clean & black. :afro: I originally intened to buy a JK when I was looking for my 1st Jeep but that was well before I had discovered the wonderful world of the TJ. As we all say in this community, Build your Jeep for you.

Oh no sir, a TJ is never a mall crawler. How can you crawl a mall with manual seats, manual windows, no fancy flat screen navigation systems, or TPMS sensors so that you don't have to check your tire levels yourself.
I love stock TJ's. I rarely ever see them on the road anymore.
And, I hate getting my Jeep muddy...it is a complete pain the butt to clean it off!

I feel you, I love stock TJ's too.
Because I see so many lifted TJ's that just look like they slapped a lift on there, slapped on big tires, and called it a day just to "look cool", I am purposefully dropping to 31" tires soon, with stock rims, stock front and rear bumpers again, but retaining my 2" lift.
I feel like my TJ is just a one in a million with how its setup right now - not to mention I see the SAME JK's every day here in Houston: lifted a little bit, with 33's and Chinese made alloy or aluminum rims that they got at Discount Tire's "Manager's Special". Just too many run of the mill Jeep's out there.

Got it all finally installed! Replaced stock Dana 30 with a Core 44 stuffed with Eaton Elockers, and upgraded ratios from 3.73 to 4.56, and had steering replaced with a Currie CorrectLync. Out back had Revolution Gears and Axleshafts and another Eaton Elocker installed. Getting her aligned on Monday, then she'll be done for a WHILE! Thanks to all the input from everyone here!
Installed the Old Man Emu shocks I purchased from @Northwood last week.

Yeah its louder but doesn't sound like the Mazda horn at all....sounds like a 'Mac' truck horn. I'm not complaining though I actually like it better.lol....The short video doesn't do the sound justice.

Did some muddin in the Pine Barrens...confirmed that I know how to use my winch effectively...that puddle in the background did NOT look that deep
Glad to see you are getting out and trying out the new winch. You may want to give winching yourself backwards a few tries too.
