Dobinsons 3 inch lift

No worries!! I think it depends on if you have a heavy front bumper/winch, armor, tire carrier.

Give Dobinsons a call and see if they will walk you through to the right springs. Here in the US, Mike did exactly that for me. They worked out perfect. Good luck!!!
I think they only offer one spring for the 3 inch lift so there's no picking the right spring for the specific build. I'm running the heavy arb bar, winch with steel cable, and load up the back pretty heavy for long trips so maybe it would suit tho.

Oh yeah, one rate for TJ’s. I think the OME rates for light/medium are the same anyway...

Sounds like your front end is darn heavy, I had an ARB on my land cruiser, I think it was over 200lbs without a winch!!! Build stout though!!!

I think it would be fine but a call couldn’t hurt. They would know who runs what on their TJ’s down there, I think you guys tend to run really heavy trucks due to that type of wheeling you do.

You have my respect! I love my Aussie products, been looking real hard at a Opus to replace my little off-road trailer. Good luck man!

$1277 AU or $804 US seems steep for 4 springs, 4 shocks, and a steering dampener.

I spoke to Ray from Dobinsons and he told me the kit is designed for a bar/winch and an extra 100kg load in the rear, which is pretty much exactly what I run so this is a definite option.

OME kits with four springs/shocks and a stabilizer run $850 or so here, seems inline for comparable products.

Both Dobinsons and OME are ahead of a rough country kit.
Doesn't 3" of lift on a TJ typically require more than springs and shocks though for things to function properly together? Isn't the OME lift like 2 or 2.5" which would be borderline with those items, although it comes with bump stop extensions and track bar bracket?

True, although I already have a 2 inch OME so I've already got track bar relocation brackets that I'll probably stick with. Then I just need to sort the bump stops.

I kinda figured that was the case!!!!

Yes you are correct.

For what it's worth I've ordered Rancho shocks from the us and shipped them to Aus for $$$ cheaper than buying local. Unfortunate but true. Someone is making a huge mark up.

That doesn't surprise me, I found I could get some OME shocks cheaper including shipping from the US than I could here in Aus, despite them being made here!

Got some info on the shocks, if anyone can make anything of these please translate it into laymans terms for me lol

"Please find quote attached for front and rear 3 inch lift to suit a TJ Jeep Wrangler.
C29-048 front coils = 16mm wire / free length 500RH -490LH / rate 196Lbs/I

C29-049 rear coils = 17mm wire / free length 355RH - 350LH / Rate = 240Lbs/I

...

I entered these into my coil spring spreadsheet. The Dobinson's are unusually short and high rate springs compared to other advertised 3" springs. Based on my sheet, I would expect most would get well over 3" up front and closer to 2" from the rear.

I'm not sure who they are designing for, but these are nowhere near anything that I would choose for a TJ.

Sounds like they are designing them for super heavy front, like the OP has. ARB and winch with wire has it over 300+ pounds hanging off the front. More of a typical Australian rig than we run here.

Again, just a guess but the aussies do it different and OME seems to offer more of an American style of spring rate....I don’t know of anyone that runs a ARB or similar style bull bar on a TJ here in the states.
