What's the plan for paint? Are you going to attempt to spray it yourself?

No, no I will not, the frame will get powder coated and a shop will paint it. I don’t want another award.

Fixed that exhaust shops hack job this morning. I will likely do my own with some mandrel bends in the future, but at least I will be able to sleep without that horrible nearly solid mounted thing hanging of the bottom of the frame.

Also, it looks like you spent a good amount of time cleaning sourgrass trail off of it.

Yup, Jeeps all shiny again, it’s pretty much a Monday morning tradition at this point.

You're better than me. I haven't even cleaned the trash out of mine yet lol. It went into the garage when we got home late Monday and has just sat. I did pull the DS though and it's on the way back to TW now.

Ok, just finished installing the head unit a bit ago. My mother is watching my little one so I pulled an @Alex01 and snuck out to get some work done.

Basically just got the new Bezel and and mounted the stereo with the most basic setup I could to do to make it work.

I still have all the speakers and Amp to install. Still have to install GPS Antenna, Back up Camera, some kind of Vehicle Speed sensor, E-brake wire. XM Satellite Radio Antenna, and the Bluetooth Microphone.

But this felt like a good stopping point. Had to take it in and out a bunch of times to get the fitment good. But am happy with how it turned out.

First time ever messing with Apple CarPlay in the driveway and I think it is going to be very nice to have. I am looking forward to getting the speakers installed to see how it sounds.

Any moment you can get when kids are around is precious. The install looks great. It will be awesome to be able to use all trails, or a similar trail map, when on the trail.

Looks great, if you want an easy solution the factory installs the GPS antenna for the RB1 right under the center dash cover between the two ducts. They just stick it right under the plastic tray with double sided tape. As long as you don't install your mobile on top it'll work fine.

Crutchfield, it required using a dremel and removing all of the dash brace above the HVAC controls, but not a big deal. It’s really nice. Doesn’t come off like cheap aftermarket plastic at all.

That deck works fine with Android, keep in mind that radio is actually running a linux based system inside just like Android. Although allot of stuff is compatible with iOS allot of electronics like that Kenwood deck actually run on linux and Android. They aren't just compatible with Android, it's also what's under the hood.

Looks great. My brother used micro bypass switch so didn’t have to install e-brake wire when he installed mine. Should be available from stereo shop.

Metra 95-6541 I found it on eBay bit cheaper than Crutchfield, especially if not packaged with stereo from Crutchfield.

Waiting on a 6’ piece of receiver tube for the tongue so I can start building the frame.
Then just axle and tub.

I will have to look into that, I am not sure what features it locks me out without the e-brake. One video seems to say you can just ground it.

Thanks, do you happen to know the purpose of the Vehicle Speed Sensor wire? Is that just to increase the accuracy of GPS?

Most high quality nav units use it for dead reckoning when you don't have GPS signal like in parking garages and tunnels.
