Thanks I think the same folks mass produce that and give it different brand names. Do they fit alright? Even though you don’t like them?
I've been debating for a while now on taking off the rear milk jugs. Yesterday I looked into getting some end caps and decided when they came I would r&r them. I saw what they looked like and I remembered that I had ordered a set of caps for the front and the were the wrong ones. The company told me to keep them and they would send me the right ones. Well, I went and found the wrong ones, and they actually were for the back bumper. LOL Score!!So, today I took off the rear milk jugs!

Yup! Super easy bolt on, no drilling necessary. Took me all of maybe 10 minutes to put on the first side without instructions.
I did like that these came with a seal looking strip thing on the inside so it looked very finished/polished. I wish I liked them !

I'm super interested in a link to the LED bulbs you used for this. If I understand correctly, you used the OEM taillight housing but just changed the two bulbs in each one?
On vacation this week and was trying to beat the 3 days of rain on my list of repairs,, but it looks like they've taken it out or pushed it back to the weekend. Today was my dad's birthday so we went out for lunch. Didn't get started on the Jeep til about 1pm. Plus it was about 45 degrees outside. Anyway.......
Mystery hole in the firewall someone left for me to find and fix.
Decided since the engine harness was already half unplugged, I should go ahead and unplug the rest of it and put the used harness on I bought last year off ebay.
Did you know the engine harness runs all the way back to the gas tank?
I did not. Until today.
Old harness out:
This was the connector for the coil:
Is it any wonder i was having the problems i was having with the chugging, sputtering, codes, AND that it ran, or appeared to be fixed, with those wires like that??? Scary for sure!
Replacement harness appears to be in much, much better shape.
Got the harness all hooked up.
Catalytic converter bolted up.
Threw one of those intake manifold heat shields on.
Most all of the replacement harness connectors had good Christmas tree retainers so everything is secure.
New water pump and tube is on.
New idler and tensioner.
New thermostat housing and thermostat.
New belt.
New hoses.
New balancer since I was there.
New Mopar radiator:
I really wanted to be one of the cool kids an have all new spring clamps on all the hoses. The reality is, I am not that cool. And the dealer could not get the correct sizes. And they were not cheap. And there are no Wranglers in salvage yards in KC AND I wasn't going to waste a couple of hours trying to find substitutes in other vehicles when worm groove clamps have served me well for almost 35 years. One new heater hose has new spring clamps, so it looks like i tried, but gave up, lol.
I still need to put oil and coolant in it and replace the hoses between the trans lines and radiator. Driver fender needs put back on. Should have it running mid-morning tomorrow.

Thanks! It's a Rough Country 4" lift from the previous owner. I don't recommend it.
I like the ride height, but the shocks are garbage and the arms are not adjustable.

I'm planning on a 3" Savvy lift, 1.25" body lift and Fox shocks so mine should look very similar to yours (even the proper color)
I wonder if those would be overkill with my LED 3rd brake light? I thought about getting some LED round tail lights. I know I could use the brighter reverse lights.

Not sure exactly person I bought it off of didn't do anything to it just used it as a south Florida (the keys) sunshine driver and now its gonna rain all week while I wait for the new top and upper doors, since they didn't have them but yeah im gonna be crawling around it looking at everything, I know its in good shape but don't know a ton of the specifics.... yetCongrats! Time to get a second job now.How much lift is on it?

Changed the A pillar lights to the KC LZR spots. Moving the Driving Gravity ones to the bumper.
I was having a lovely drive home from work today in stop and go traffic when I happened to notice the check engine light pop on. Hoped it was just another O2 sensor, but I'm not that lucky. Got the code P0457 Evap code, replace the gas cap last year so that is strange, then I got the codes P0837 and P0838 which are coming up as something with the 4WD sensor. I guess the Jeep is angry that I have been looking to add a ZJ or XJ to the driveway lol
measured the lift today and its got a 2" lift, ill admit thinking one of the first things i need to do is decide if i want a full rail or to just get a step first, I looked them up and when it talked about drilling into the jeep i got hesitant hahaCongrats! Time to get a second job now.
Removed the faded Smittybilt neoprene seat covers that came with the Jeep. Found a tag on the inside that said the seat covers were made in May of 2017; this is what they look like after 3.5 years.
These are the Bartac Baseline Performance seat covers installed.
Snug fit and there are small slots to allow the loops to slip thru used for the seats to flip forward
Will need to reattach the velcro once the covers stretch a little.

People drop these skids like it’s nothing! I’m horrified to try and take mine off! All my 4x4 shops said don’t touch it until absolutley necessary or with good reason! I have minimal rust, so I guess that’s not good enough reason yet
