Traditional vs. super short SYE

I know that the best normal sye is the advanced adaptors one but I’ve recently been introduced to mega short slip yolk eliminators. What are your guys s thoughts on this? I believe they would give about 3 more inches of drive shaft. The reason I’m considering it is because I will have about 4 inches of lift and raise the t case about an inch or two

Buy a SSSYE combo from whomever you are buying the driveshaft from.

So I did the tummy tuck after the standard AA SYE and DS were in. Wasn’t really aware of the JB SS SYE or that I was even going to do a TT. My lift is a 2” spring lift and I went with a mild TT skid (UCF extra clearance skid) so it was able to work but anything more extreme (higher lift or more tuck) and Im not sure would work out without the SS SYE. My angle is fairly steep but it works. In hindsight I wish I did the JB SYE but I’m not doing it all over again or buying a new SYE.

Oh yea is the stock speedo considered mechanical?

So are you saying in the end it really isn't necessary? because in the end my drive line will technically have about 7 inches of lift between the suspension and TT

I would always advocate for a longer rear drive shaft, less chances for vibration. Vibrations are common place in the TJ/LJ Wrangler world.

The decision is really on you, that's why I posted the pic, it brings a bit of transparency to the concept.
